Linda Moulton Howe

Mid-day on August 3, 2009, photographer and crop circle researcher Frank Laumen from Germany was driving on the road near Silbury Hill when through a gap in the trees, Frank could see something in a wheat field at the base that was definitely not there the night before when he and his German colleague, Andreas Mueller, had driven by after visiting the Morgan’s Hill pattern reported August 2. A Brief Education on Crop Circles

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

Freddy Silva, The Crop Circular

Crop circles are not a modern phenomenon.

They are mentioned in academic texts of the late 17th Century, and almost 200 cases- some with eyewitness accounts- have been reported prior to 1970. Since then, some eighty eyewitnesses as far flung as British Columbia and Australia have reported crop circles forming in under twenty seconds; cases are often accompanied by sightings of incandescent or brightly-coloured balls of light, shafts of light or structured flying craft.

Crop Circles: Plant Abnormalities

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

BLT Research Team

The physical changes (listed below) documented in crop circle plants by Michigan biophysicist W.C. Levengood have been determined by evaluating hundreds of sample plants — both downed and standing — taken from inside the overall perimeter of each formation against hundreds of control plants taken at varying distances outside each formation, in several directions. More than 250 individual crop formations from multiple countries, over a 10-year period were examined in-depth. Although many of the formations studied were relatively “simple” in overall design and/or relatively “small” in overall size (primarily because of BLT’s financial and/or personnel limitations, particularly in Europe), many larger and more “complex” formations — those whose overall design included intricate geometric shapes with multiple design elements of varying sizes — are represented here.

Crop Circle Central

There are a number of observations that have been made over the years that seem to indicate that there are particular characteristics that "genuine" (or non-mandmade) formations appear to exhibit. Some of the observations are listed below:
